State Line Youth Sports Foundation Launches to Empower Youth

Across North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska

Today marks the official launch of the State Line Youth Sports Foundation, a new 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting, expanding, and strengthening youth sports programs across the state line region of North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska. Founded on the belief that athletics serve as a powerful vehicle for youth development, the State Line Youth Sports Foundation is committed to building confident, resilient, and successful young people by offering accessible opportunities in sports alongside personal growth programs.

Empowering the Next Generation On and Off the Field

Youth athletics in rural and bi-state communities face unique challenges, including funding gaps, travel constraints, and limited access to updated equipment and facilities. Through local sponsors, targeted grants, fundraisers, equipment donations, corporate partners and mentorship programs, the foundation works to ensure that every child—regardless of background, skill or financial status—has the chance to participate, grow, and thrive.

The foundation’s core mission and vision are centered on developing confident, resilient, and successful young people through sports participation paired with personal growth initiatives. By fostering teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition, the State Line Youth Sports Foundation aims to build strong character traits that benefit young athletes far beyond the playing field or court.

Upcoming Programs & Fall Launch

Kickstarting its inaugural season, the foundation is launching two Fall Baseball Teams to compete in regional tournaments this autumn. Looking ahead to the 2027 season, the foundation has also formed three travel baseball teams across the 10U, 11U, and 12U age divisions, giving local athletes a chance to compete, hone their skills, and grow together. As our foundation continues to grow and participation reaches new heights, we’re expanding beyond the diamond into new sports, welcoming more teams, and creating opportunities for even more young athletes to play. 

How to Get Involved

The State Line Youth Sports Foundation invites community members, local business, and sports enthusiasts across the states of Kansas and Nebraska to join the movement. Opportunities to support include community donations, corporate sponsorships, and volunteer engagement.
